Calling all fiction lovers in grades 4, 5, and 6! Nēnē Readers is a NEW reading club at the Aiea Public Library. There will be one meeting on a Monday at the end of the month to review books on the Nēnē list. The focus is to read, analyze, discuss, and most importantly enjoy Nēnē Award Nominated books.
This award is unique for just 4th, 5th, and 6th graders of Hawaii so join in. Now is a great time to have your voice heard! Not sure what the Nēnē Award is, but curious to know more? Check out R.E.A.D. for NĒNĒ.
*For the first meeting, just come and be prepared to talk about books in general. What do/don’t you like about books? What genres? And more. We will be looking at the new 2017-2018 Nēnē Nominees, picking our first book, and determining how the club will work in the future. Feel free to bring a snack for yourself to munch as we chat.
Program schedule is subject to change. Contact the library 10 days in advance if a sign language interpreter or special accommodations are needed.
