Raising Chickens on an Urban Farm: Optimal Nutrition and Getting Started

Come and learn about sustainable, urban chicken farming. Gain insight about choosing the right breed of chicks for your urban setting, optimal laying nutrition in the Manoa Valley, and how to incorporate chemical free bug control and garden fertilizer with your chickens. Permaculture practices incorporate animal raising to meet the needs of the land. This hands-on Rubber Boots Workshop series will include live chickens!
