Sight Word BINGO for Books

January 19, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Stack of books

Mastering sight words is a major aspect of literacy development. The library will host a sight word BINGO day during our winter reading program in January to encourage families to help their children to develop their reading ability.

Two rounds of sight word BINGO will be played for the following grades:

  • Kindergarten-1st grade (maximum of 20 participants)
  • 2nd grade-3rd grade (maximum of 20 participants)

Each winner will get to choose a book from a selection of grade-appropriate, brand new books. All participants will also have a chance to win a bowling package at KBXtreme by entering our lucky prize drawing!

Stop by the Children’s Section beginning Wednesday, January 2 to pick up a sight word list for your readers to help them prepare for their rounds of BINGO.

We hope to see you at your public library!

All programs are subject to change. If you require an auxiliary aid or accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days before the program date.
