Suzie Senk, Speech Specialist

Sleep, or the lack thereof, is a significant concern for caregivers. For individuals with Alzheimer’s, sleep, or the perception of excessive sleep, can be particularly worrisome. Furthermore, sleep is recognized as one of the 10 healthy habits that individuals can adopt to follow guidelines aimed at reducing their risk of dementia. This lecture will delve into all three of these issues as we examine the relationship between sleep and Alzheimer’s.

The “Listen & Learn Lecture Series on Alzheimer’s” is a topic sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association – Hawai’i Chapter, AARP Hawaii, and the Lihue Public Library, in conjunction with the Kauai Agency on Elderly Affairs.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible.
