The Lives of Hawaii’s Dolphins and Whales

Learn about the natural history and conservation of Hawaii’s dolphins and whales. Through photos, stories, and data, author Robin W. Baird will talk about his book and his current research project around the Hawaiian islands on the false killer whales and other pelagic whales and dolphins. Robin is a biologist with the Cascadia Research Collective in Washington and has spent the last seventeen years studying dolphins and whales in the waters surrounding our islands.

This one-hour program is recommended for ages 5 and older. Young children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Contact the library at least 15 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
