We have so many board and card games at the library!

Bring your friends, family, or just come alone to join others in playing board games at the library on selection in front of the circulation desk at Lihue Library.

Board games can be fun and stress-relieving! Come play your favorites or discover a fun, new game.

Also available is the community puzzle located on the large, wooden table in the Hawaiian and Pacific reading section of the library. Bring your puzzle skills and assist in completing our community puzzle so that we may frame it and add it to the wall.

Stop by the library from 3:30pm – 5:00pm on Wednesday, October 28 to participate in Halloween games like Mummy Bowling, Ghost-Busting and the Witch Hat Ring Toss!  Everyone wins something (while supplies last)!

Join us for an afternoon of fun, freestyle arts and crafts!

Let your imagination run wild and create something totally unique.

This is a great way for young children to get experience and confidence in creating projects on their own.

This months crafting theme: Halloween!

Journaling is an excellent tool to help process thoughts, feelings and events.  Writing things out, putting them on paper, has been shown to help with depression and reduce anxiety and stress.

Friends of the Lihue Library will provide journals, pens, stickers and washi tape.  You just need to bring your imagination and inner artist.

For Part 1 of the program (November 4) have fun designing and decorating your journal to make it your very own.  For Part 2 (November 18) you will have quiet time to free journal or work with prompts.  Light snacks and refreshments provided.

The theme for this journaling program is gratitude or self-care.  But you are free to design the journal for yourself outside of the themes.

This program is best for Teens, ages 12-18 years-old.
