July 24, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 7:15 pm

Old plantation houses

Celebrate the Historic Koloa Plantation Days! Storyteller Dann Seki will share some wonderful stories about growing up and living on a plantation in Hawaii. This free 45-minute program is suitable for ages 5 and older. Young children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.

A storyteller since 1994, Dann has performed at various Hawaii public libraries, senior centers, and storytelling festivals. He is also a stage and screen actor, appearing in numerous local commercials, locally filmed television shows like “Lost” and “Hawaii Five-0”, and on stage at many of the local theatres.

Sponsored by the Friends of Koloa Library. This program is a production of the University of Hawaii at Manoa Outreach College’s Statewide Cultural Extension Program with funding and support provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, and the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

If you need an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days prior to the program date. We will make every attempt to fulfill all requests for accommodations. All programs are subject to change.
