The second Thursday of every month, the Honoka`a Library hosts the Hamakua Friends of the Library Book Club.

Open to all, this meeting, with author Sara Ackerman, will discuss her novel, Island of Sweet Pies and Soldiers. “When her husband mysteriously disappears and rumors swirl about his loyalties, a mother must rely on the remarkable power of friendship in war-torn Hawaii.”
