History Theatre: Rediscovering History

Please join us in the library’s front lobby for a unique opportunity to see a live performance by the Hawaiian Mission Houses’ popular History Theatre program, free at the Hawaii State Library. Three historical figures come to life with carefully researched and scripted portrayals by professional actors. This performance will feature: Edna Allyn (1861-1927), portrayed by Eden Lee Murray; Emma Nakuina (1847-1929),portrayed by Kahana Ho; and George R. Carter (1866-1933), portrayed by Ron Heller.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required.
