Join us as we honor our family histories with a recipe sampling and family history book presentation by Ko’olauloa area resident Allen Awaya. 

Patrons and Kahuku Library staff will bring in a dish that has family significance so we can each sample a variety of dishes from 5pm to 6pm.

Dr. Allen Awaya, former Kahuku HS educator, will share more about his journey making and how you can get started on compiling your own family history book at 6pm.

Please note the deadline to participate (submit a recipe and bring in a completed dish to share) will be on Friday, July 14th. 

Each patron will receive a copy of the participating recipes as a keepsake.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required.
