Keiki Craft: Dissecting Pueo Pellets

August 30, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Pueo, or Hawaiian short eared owl, looking at the camera.

Have you ever wondered what pueo eat or how scientists learn about owl health? Ms. Margaret from the Hawaii Wildlife Center will be guiding us in a hands-on experiment to answer these questions and more! Together we’ll dissect pueo pellets to learn about all the things owls eat but can’t digest. All materials provided. Intended for children ages 7 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. All programs are subject to change. For a list of upcoming library events, visit www.LibrariesHawaii.org/events.
