Come learn popular and classic line dances in a fun, judgment free zone! Local volunteer dance enthusiast, Herman Kiili, wants to showcase some of his favorite songs and dances and share his love of music with you! Follow along with simple dance instructions for popular line and non-line dances such as Electric Slide, Achy Breaky Heart, Staying Alibe, and more! Each session will build upon the last one. This event is low stress and can get your blood pumping with some of the more challenging songs.
Depending on demand, Wahiawa Public Library will continue offering this program monthly. NOTE: The people running this program are not professionally trained dance instructors, just enthusiasts who like to dance and are looking for others who like to do the same, but there will be some minor dance instruction to introduce new dances. The goal of this program is to have fun and get moving!
Event is open to all who want to attend. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. All programs are subject to change.
