Nostalgic Hawaiian Music

Musicians Mele Fong and Richard Tom

The Hawaiian Serenaders is a husband and wife duo comprised of Richard Tom on ukulele bass, and Mele Fong on ukulele. They will offer a musical journey through time as Hawaiian and hapa haole music evolved in Hawai‘i. This free 45-minute cultural music program is suitable for all ages. Young children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.

Sponsored by the Maui Friends of the Library. This is a production of the University of Hawaii at Manoa Outreach College’s Statewide Cultural Extension Program with funding provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, and the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
