Nurturing and Fostering Relationships with the Land, with the Biosphere, and with Each Other

Ancient Hawaiians were incredibly knowledgeable through their relationships with place, people and their akua (Deities) and ancestors.
Noah Gomes joins us from the big island Hawaiʻi to share Story Maps weaving stories of the past with interviews collected of more recent relationships with native manu (birds).

Made possible with the support of the American Bird Conservancy and the Kauaʻi Forest Bird Recovery Project.
