Do you have a super hero suit hidden in your closet? Do you feel like a superhero even though you don’t have a special suit? If you are a superhero or love superheroes, join the library on Saturday, June 3rd, anytime between 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to celebrate Wonder Woman Day! The library will have activities for preschool through elementary aged children. There will also be a Wonder Woman Costume contest at 1:00 p.m. for three age groups: pre-school to kindergarten, 1st to 3rd grade, and 4th to 6th grade. This event is promoted by DC Comics in connection with the release of the new Wonder Woman movie on June 1st.
While visiting, check out the Wonder Women of Hawaii display from Matthew Dekneef’s articles in Hawaii Magazine.
Program schedule is subject to change. Contact the library as soon as possible to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
