What’s next?

  • LBPD will work with the Library of Congress National Library Service (NLS) to create new accounts after talking with prospective library patrons.
  • LBPD will provide each prospective patron with additional information about available services.
  • We’ll also give you a call to help you select which items/services you want to receive.

ALERT | In holiday observance of Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalaniana‘ole Day, all public libraries will be closed on Thursday, March 26, 2026.

ALERT | The ʻAiea Public Library parking lot and access stairs from Hakina street will be closed beginning January 17 due to an unforeseen electrical issue. The Library will be open with parking on the street available. We apologize for the inconvenience as we work to resolve the issue.
