Storyteller Vicky Dworkin returns to the Edna Allyn Room for Children at Hawaii State Library to share multicultural folktales from around the world featuring stones, rocks, caves, jewels, and mountains. As she has done in the past for many Hawaii State Public Library Summer Reading Programs, she will present a family program suitable for ages four and up, using puppets and props to enliven the stories and engage the audience. Children will choose from Vicky’s Magic Story Box to determine which stories she will actually tell.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i and the 2018 Summer Reading Sponsors. This is a production of the University of Hawaii at Manoa Outreach College’s Statewide Cultural Extension Program with additional funding and support provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, and the University of Hawaii.
All programs are subject to change. If you require an auxiliary aid or accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days before the program date.
