Dyson Chee is a homeschooled high school student living in Honolulu. He is passionate about tackling the issue of plastic pollution, and is the founder of Project O.C.E.A.N. Hawaii. Through Project O.C.E.A.N., Dyson visits schools and community events to do presentations about solutions to plastic pollution, as well as civic engagement to help pass bills that benefit both the planet and the people. 

Dysonʻs presentation will start with the story of his journey with plastic pollution. From there, we will cover why plastic pollution is a problem, both globally and locally. Finally, we will end with the simple solutions we can take to #beatplasticpollution, and ongoing action items that enable Hawaiʻi to be a plastic-free state.
