You are invited to a special showing of the award-wining movie “Humpback Whales”, produced by documentary filmmakers MacGillivray Freeman Films. “Humpback Whales” incorporates the best that IMAX films have to offer—impossible photography, entertaining music, and an instructional narrative that creates a positive visceral experience.  Footage filmed in Hawaii, Tonga and Alaska.  Narrated by Ewan McGregor.

After the film screening, there will be a “Original whales” hands-on make-and-take activity from 2:00 to 2:30 p.m.

No pre-registration required. This event is free and open to all ages. Young children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.

Sponsored by the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary in celebration of August 12 as “Get Into Your Sanctuary Day” throughout the nation.

Program schedule is subject to change. Contact the library 15 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
