We are celebrating the Pgaz k’Nyau (bpwa-ghin-yaw) indigenous people of northern Thailand with a special performance of The Story of Tehnaku.
Through music, puppetry, and recycled materials, MFA Candidate of UH Mānoa Karese Kaw-uh weaves a story about the creation of the first tehnaku (dey-nah-coo), a curved-neck harp unique to the Pgaz k’Nyau people of Thailand.
Mahalo to UH Mānoa for generously providing this event.
