The Yale Alley Cats are an all-male, undergraduate a cappella singing group at Yale University. Founded in 1943, they are the third oldest underclassman a cappella group at Yale. They have entertained audiences world-wide, performing for many notable figures including President Bill Clinton and President Barack Obama. In May, they are starting their 2018 Asian tour, and their first stop is Honolulu. They will sing jazz, pop, Broadway, rhythm and blues, Motown and folk in the lobby at Hawaii State Library, Tuesday, May 15, from 12 to 1 PM. Among the many titles are Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You,” Alicia Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You,” Sia’s “Chandelier,” Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me to the Moon,” The Temptations’ “My Girl,” The Righteous Brothers’ “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling,” Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” American folk song, “Fare Thee Well,” and “Till There Was You,” from The Music Man.
