When Justin is getting his first library card, he’s where he belongs

We absolutely love the Hawaiʻi Public Library System. It is a safe place for us to learn and grow as a family. We look forward to our weekly trips to the library, exploring and reading. We feel very blessed to have such wonderful and supportive librarians as well. When we think of something we want to research more of we always refer to the library first.

HOLIDAY CLOSURE | In observance of Veterans Day, all public libraries will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, 2026.

HOLIDAY CLOSURE | In observance of Thanksgiving Day, all public libraries will be closed on Thursday, November 26, 2026.

HOLIDAY CLOSURE | In observance of Christmas Day, all public libraries will be closed on Friday, December 25, 2026.

ALERT | On September 12, 2026, Hanapēpē Public Library (Kaua‘i) will reopen at 1:00 p.m. and Princeville Public Library (Kaua‘i) will remain closed while building assessments are underway. Additional information regarding next week's operating schedules for Kaua‘i libraries will be provided as assessments are completed. We appreciate the patience and understanding of our Kaua‘i patrons.
