Where can I get Hawaii tax forms?
The tax forms are mailed by January 31. The libraries receive the tax forms by early to mid-February.
Who can help me use them?
Library staff will work hard to make sure the form(s) you need will be available but we are not trained to provide answers on what forms to use or how to fill them out.

AARP Tax-Aide Services at Libraries
The AARP tax preparation services will be available at the following libraries between February and April.

Federal Tax Forms and Resources
New Filing Deadline: April 15, 2025
The Form 1040 and 1040-SR as well as other forms and publications can be downloaded from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) website or ordered by calling 1-800-TAX-FORM (1-800-829-3676).
If you need tax help, call 1-800-829-4477 for recorded tax information, or call 1-800-829-1040 to speak with an IRS taxpayer assistance representative.
For Federal refund status, use the Check Your Refund Status tool on the IRS Refunds page. If you don’t have internet, call the automated refund hotline at 800-829-1954 for a current-year refund, or 866-464-2050 for an amended return.
If your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) is $84,000 or less, you can use Guided Tax Preparation software for free through the IRS Free File webpage. Taxpayers with an AGI over $84,000 can use Free File Fillable Forms starting January 27 to prepare their own taxes with IRS instructions.
